Steel of West Virginia, Inc., a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc. operates a steel mill located in Huntington, WV and adjacent to Marshall University.  SWVA supplies specialty long rolled steel beams and channels as well as semi-finished weldments via our three rolling mills and robotic weld and material handling lines.

We are growing and have openings for an experienced Mechanical, Industrial Engineer, or Production Engineer.  Duties will include project management, drafting, machinery design and detailing.  As well as trouble shooting, working with equipment and facility maintenance, and helping with preventative maintenance programs.  Should have strong familiarity with equipment automation and integration, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, equipment design codes, and machine guarding codes.  Ability to develop concepts and take them through design and detailing to preparing the final build documents.  Then ordering, installing, and overseeing the startup of equipment.

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred but relevant/equivalent experience accepted
• 3+ years experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with Inventor or Solid Works a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Projects
• Proven work experience in plant equipment design/modification
• Weld/Material Handling Robotics Experience a plus (Fanuc training ++)
• PMP certification a plus
• Some travel required US & International
• Ability to lift 30lbs. +/-
