Job Summary: Ideal candidates will possess knowledge that enables them to help with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. Position involves electrical type work. Candidate must have good mechanical and electrical aptitude. Must be self-motivated, dependable, and able to pay attention to safety issues. This position is within a manufacturing environment with moderate to high physical activity involving routine lifting and pulling up to 50 pounds. This position also requires constant standing and frequent walking. Candidate must possess the ability to read and understand information/ideas presented in written form. Candidate will be expected to assist millwrights potentially daily with mechanical repairs.   

Responsibilities:

Observe machine operation for machine malfunction and defects.

• Perform safety checks to ensure safety devices are on and in working order (guarding and all safety equipment).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and written repair manuals.
• Repairs production equipment or components by troubleshooting problems, identifying the appropriate method of repair, replacing worn parts, and returning the equipment to production while observing the proper safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Ensuring that all guards and safety equipment are in place and operational before turning the equipment over to the operator.
• Diagnose and repair various equipment such as production, testing equipment, conveyors, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Work with team members to correct quality problems as well as continuous improvement projects.
• Must be able to interface with computers and be efficient at problem-solving.
• Ability to provide feedback for writing new PM procedures along with LOTO procedures for routine maintenance repairs.
• Motivates and guides co-workers.

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Completion of military service is considered equivalent to a 2-year degree.
