The Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting in the execution of new and retrofitted industrial automation projects. This position will assist in designing, developing, implementing, and following up with a variety of projects throughout the platform. The person who fills this position will collaborate with plant personnel, engineering, suppliers, and integrators.


  • Utilize engineering principles to assist in the performance of engineering duties
  • Assist in the development of concepts for the automation of manufacturing processes
  • Assist other engineers in on-going projects




  • Education: Enrolled in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering Bachelor's degree program.
  • Technical proficiency: Strong understanding of automation technology.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and identify patterns to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Communication skills: Effect written and oral communication with team members.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous in work and ability to pay close attention to details.
  • Time management: Manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes in projects quickly and efficiently.
  • Team player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
  • Safety awareness: Understanding of safety procedures and ability to identify and avoid hazards.
  • Continuous learning: Open to learning new skills and receiving feedback.
  • Self-directed: Ability to make decisions and work independently with general direction or minimal supervision.
  • Computer skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Word, and Excel.
  • Mechanical aptitude: Mechanically inclined and hands-on individual with strong problem-solving skills.
