As we continue to grow, we have an immediate need for a Melt Shop Lab Tech.

Responsibilities

The duties of the Lab Tech are to operate a carbon analyzer and two spectrometers to obtain metal chemistries; communicate with caster crews in the Melt Shop; operate tensile machine to accomplish physical testing; and trouble shoot testing equipment. 

Qualifications

  • Strong basic math skills
  • Ability to trouble shoot mechanical equipment
  • Ability to operate a PC using windows - based system
  • Ability and willingness to work a 56 - hour rotating shift.
