Brief Description: Ensures the appropriate work gets completed correctly and in the time frame as designated by the supervisor by directing the production employees.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assists production employees with various jobs in aluminum foundry concerned with pouring molten metal into molds and pots, preparing metal for shipment
• Make suggestions to production supervisor to better working conditions, use of equipment and increase efficiency of department
• Counts, weighs, and records pounds of material charges on daily heat sheets, and inspects scrap
• Analyze metal samples to ensure product meets customer specification
• Responsible for producing a quality product, watching for smooth surface, flash free, and properly packaged & labeled product

Required: 

• 1-2 years manufacturing experience
• Problem solving skills
• Math skills
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail
• Good communication & leadership skills
