Overview

This challenging role offers a multifaceted finance experience, combining leadership and technical expertise. The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to team leadership by overseeing the daily operations of the finance team. They will also be responsible for preparing and analyzing both internal and external financial statements, managing the month-end closing process efficiently and accurately, leading and executing key finance projects, identifying and implementing strategies to streamline financial processes, and developing and analyzing cost models to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a world-class safety culture.
  • Mentor and supervise day-to-day functions of the finance and accounting team.
  • Play a key role in month-end close, AR/AP management, cost accounting, and external audits.
  • Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, operations analysis, and other reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Validate company compliance with implemented policies and procedures and develop/enhance new/current accounting policies and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial processes and increase efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior supervision or leadership experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant in active status (or working towards certification), with at least 4-year degree and 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Relevant core-competencies required: time management, highly organized, project management and multi-tasking, applying effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
  • Dedication to minor details and ensuring accuracy of all work products.
  • Exceptional and proven verbal and written communication skills, with all levels of management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products.
