Overview

The Regional Sales Manager – Industrial Sheet Products will manage, cultivate, and maintain customer relationships and product sales for Aluminum Dynamics. This role is customer facing and has the principal objectives to ensure ADL’s book of business is consistent with the capabilities of ADL’s operational goals, while meeting or exceeding commercial and volume targets, and to develop and augment long term relationships with customers.

 

This position can be executed from any location; however, the ideal candidate would be located in the Midwest or South and be positioned next to a large or international airport. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties safely and professionally
  • Drive promotion and sales of Aluminum Dynamics’ products within territory
  • Respond to customer inquiries effectively and promptly
  • Develop new customers as well as expand market share with existing customers
  • Monitor competitive landscape and continually provide effective feedback to the Commercial Director
  • Work effectively with other departments to meet customer needs and improve satisfaction
  • Facilitate relationships at all levels of customer’s organization
  • Strive to ensure that Aluminum Dynamics is the aluminum supplier of choice for customers
  • Contribute meaningfully to the through-cycle profitability of the company
  • Demonstrate pride in company products, culture and goals

Qualifications

Required

  • Mandatory 3+ years previous outside sales experience in the steel or aluminum flat rolled industrial market including painted products and processes
  • 2- year degree required; 4-year degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • High energy, team-oriented, and relationship driven
  • Ability to travel 30-60% – consecutive over-nights mandatory
  • International travel required with ability to acquire necessary travel documents
  • Ability to manage time, manage travel & manage oneself
  • Fiduciary responsible to manage and report expenses, entertainment & travel
  • Proficient in basic computer skills including excel, advanced excel skills preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally

Preferred

  • 5+ years previous outside sales experience
  • Technical experience working with FRG customers
  • Ideal candidate will have demonstrated understanding of SDI operational and commercial culture and a track record as a champion of SDI culture in practice
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP Concur or foundation of CRM system
