We are seeking a pioneering QA Engineer to establish and lead our quality assurance practice. As our first QA hire, you will be responsible for building our QA processes from the ground up, with a particular focus on implementing automated testing using Ascential Test and Playwright testing suite. This is a unique opportunity to shape the quality culture and testing practices of our team. This position is on-site 5 days a week at our Corporate Office in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

• Establish and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices from the ground up
• Design and build the testing infrastructure and framework using Playwright and Ascential Test
• Create comprehensive testing strategies aligned with business objectives
• Develop automated test suites and continuous integration pipelines
• Define quality metrics and establish reporting processes
• Create documentation for QA processes and procedures
• Train and mentor future QA team members
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate quality practices into the development lifecycle
• Evaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Proven experience with Playwright testing suite
• Demonstrated experience with Ascential Test Suite
• Track record of establishing QA processes and best practices
• Experience building testing frameworks and infrastructure from scratch
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, .NET, or Python preferred)

Preferred

• Expert-level experience with Playwright testing suite
• Proficiency in Ascential Test methodologies and implementation 
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation
• Expertise in testing methodologies (TDD, BDD)
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
• API testing experience
• Performance testing knowledge
