The Safety Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of division safety performance, reporting, and adherence.
Responsibilities
Environmental, OSHA, Health, & Safety Recordkeeping and Reporting
Assist in the development and implementation of safety controls
Safety compliance with Federal, State and Local laws
Coordinating, conducting, and tracking monthly safety training and events
New Hire orientation and training
Safety alert distribution and preparation
Corporate reporting duties
Perform safety audits and walk throughs and communicate the results
Policy and Program maintenance and reviews
Safety process improvement project management
JSA, LOTOTO, SOP, and Risk Assessment development and revisions
Incident investigation, review, and follow-up
Medical case management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in safety or a safety-related field and/or 3-yrs or more experience in a safety function in a heavy industrial environment
Ability to skillfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects
Highly effective communication skills
Some Travel requirements – intercompany, education, & benchmarking
First Aid/CPR/AED/Fall Protection Competent Person Certified
Excellent computer skills preferably in Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook
