Electrical maintenance of steel mill equipment.

• Troubleshooting electrical equipment problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, project work and installation of electrical equipment.
• Assist mechanics and operators with daily maintenance and ensure work is done safely.
• Electrical equipment includes but is not limited to: Control systems (PLC’s), motors and drives (VFD’s), lighting, and power distribution.

• At least 1 year working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment.
• Experienced in safely working on systems up to 480V.
• Basic knowledge of power distribution, AC motors, and motor control.
• Experience in complex relay control circuits and/or PLC’s.
• Skilled at troubleshooting, problem solving, and installation of electrical equipment.
• At least 5 years of hands on experience with the equipment described above in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years working as an electrician or technician in an industrial environment preferred.
• Experienced in safely working on systems up to and including 345kV preferred.
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Allen Bradley or GE PLC’s and drives preferred.
• Applicant must possess at least one of the following:
  
  • Electrical/industrial technology certificate or degree
  • Technical military training related to electrical theory and maintenance
