Mechanical maintenance on the caster. Working with all caster personnel to drive the department production goals and ensure reliability. Focus will be on safety and preparing all parts and equipment to ensure that downtime repairs are optimized. This is a millwright training position, which will require additional off-shift training. 

• Maintain a safe work environment.

• Troubleshooting and repairing systems
• This position requires a strong desire to learn and a high level of organization
• Once qualified, this person will help with shift millwright coverage (FMLA, vacation, etc.)

Required

• An excellent safety and attendance record
• Basic mechanical knowledge

Preferred

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, grease systems, gearing, shaft alignment, rigging, overhead cranes, pendant cranes, and precision instruments.
• Fabrication skills that include torching, welding, and blueprint reading.
• Previous casting experience, boiler experience
