Perform daily maintenance walkthroughs and routine inspections of the galvanizing furnaces and related equipment. 

• Complete and/or support required maintenance to combustion system components throughout all furnace operations.
• Maintain proper organization and high standard of housekeeping of Furnace areas.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and come up with quick resolutions.
• Coordination with shift personnel to ensure that all furnaces are operating in optimal condition.
• Maintain and repair burner tubes, recuperators, gas trains, air valves, and BCUs.
• Maintain combustion and material tracking system sensors, actuators and valves.
• Ability to operate the furnace material handling and combustion systems in manual and automatic.
• Manage spare parts and consumable inventories for furnace.
• Use of EREQ for ordering materials, managing work orders and interfacing with PM system.
• Coordinate with engineers to plan furnace outage work
• Coordinate with contractors to facilitate repairs when outside assistance is required.

• Drive all components of TCOS “Take Control of Safety” (High risk exposures, PSIF initiatives/management, etc.)
• Strong safety awareness and record of performance.
• Good communication skills (verbal, written, and electronic).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently without direct supervision.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
• Ability to work routinely in a hot environment.
• Repetitive stretching, reaching, lifting and walking will be required to support routine responsibilities.
• Understanding of combustion systems and controls preferred.
• Capable of operating mobile equipment and overhead cranes.
