We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven Cold Mill Scheduler to join our dynamic team.  In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient planning and scheduling of three cold rolling mills and associated batch annealing furnaces to ensure on-time production and optimal throughput.

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range schedules for cold mills and batch annealing operations.
• Balanceproduction priorities to meet delivery commitments, maximize efficiency, and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, quality, and commercial teams to align production plans with business needs.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to respond to real-time changes.
• Utilize in-house and Steel Dynamics-developed systems to manage scheduling data and optimize production flow.
• Analyze production and performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional planning meetings.
• Learn and understand the aluminum manufacturing process in detail to make informed scheduling decisions.

Required:

• Previous Heavy Manufacturing Experience
• Strong desire and ability to learn the aluminum production process
• Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with data

Preferred:

• Experience in production scheduling or operations planning in a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to or experience with ERP or manfuacturing systems
• Background in metals, industrial, or automotive-related industries
