Mold shop employees are responsible for the maintenance and refurbishment of all manufacturing equipment used at the caster.  This position is an entry level position in the Mold and Segment Shop.  Employees will be trained on all safety and maintenance procedures.  The position is expected to work a 4 on – 4 off swing shift.  Shift assignments may change often in order to meet the needs of the shop.

• Work with caster personnel to diagnose and fix equipment issues
• Return molds and segments to peak operating condition after being removed from the caster
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures on casting equipment
• Align molds & segments, change rolls, rebuild end frames, etc.
• Document all work performed

Required

• Safety conscience
• Self motivated
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Previous mechanical maintenance experience
• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Capable of using precision measurement tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other mobile equipment

Preferred

• Experienced in fabrication, torching, and welding
• Industrial equipment maintenance experience
