Overview

  • This role is responsible for maintaining and growing existing business with established customers while developing new and inactive accounts.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute sales goals with the Inside Sales Supervisor, Market Manager and Regional Sales Managers, including business development, new products, and market intelligence.
  • Perform inside sales activities, including quoting, follow-up, and new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer decision-makers.
  • Act as a product mentor and resource for inside sales representatives.
  • Monitor industry and competitive trends, providing insights to shape sales strategies, pricing, and forecasts.
  • Identify and capture new opportunities through cross-selling, value-added products, and expansion into new markets.
  • Manage accounts with attention to margin analysis, forecasting, and quality improvement.
  • Partner with internal departments to meet company and customer objectives.
  • Plan and execute key customer visits; travel as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of progressive sales or customer service experience.
  • Strong people skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive outlook, self-starter, well-organized, and dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with utilizing a CRM like Salesforce.com.
  • Prior experience in the steel industry
  • Willingness to relocate if needed and have the ambition to advance into a Regional Sales Manager position.

 

Preferrred

  • 4 Year College Degree in Applicable Field
  • Inside or Outside Sales Experience
