Safe operation of heavy equipment in order to process incoming scrap materials. Inspect material and ensure proper placement into bins or piles.
Candidate must be willing and able to follow through with:
• Strict adherence to plant safety rules.
• Train in the scrap Loader and additional heavy equipment
• Maintain safe operation of equipment at all times
• Monitor truck unloading process for safe operation/tip over prevention.
• Inspect incoming scrap material to ensure quality and specs are met.
• Complete non-conformances and other records as needed.
• Crosstrain on all yard positions
• Complete duties as assigned by leadership in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist and fill in where needed
• Light maintenance care and heavy cleaning of machines.
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Cross train in other Scrap Yard Jobs
• Positive attitude
Preferred
• 2- Year Verifiable work experience in an industrial environment.
