Provide mechanical engineering support to the plant

• Research and analyze vendor proposals for design or application feasibility
• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to obtain optimal equipment utilization
• Evaluate and recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment malfunctions, improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Create and assist in preventive maintenance standards & solutions.
• Perform long-term maintenance planning, purchase spare parts and analyze spare part requirements for plant equipment and overhead cranes.
• Lead and execute capital projects in all areas of the plant.
• Lead with various trade & contractors coordinating projects
• Lead installation and modification of new and existing equipment
• Develop equipment lockout/tagout procedures, continue to improve safety.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required. 

Preferred

• Previous industrial experience desirable.
• Must be knowledgable with office applications, AutoCAD, office, inventor/3D
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, analytical reasoning ability and good judgement for critical opertating decisions, keen attention to detail, ability to cooperate and interpersonal skills to wirk in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
