Perform maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment. Lead/Assist in any duties required.  All duties assigned by the supervisor/lead are to be performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Candidate must be willing and able to:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment (forklifts, Trackmobile, Backhoes, Scrap Handlers, etc.)
• Strict adherence to plant safety rules and procedures
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, heavy transmissions, heavy-duty truck differentials, air brake equipment, automotive electrical system, heavy duty hydraulics
• Air Conditioning knowledge
• Change tires, perform welding and other duties as assigned

• Safety Minded
• Positive attitude
• (Preferred) 2 years’ experience on repair of Diesel engines and heavy transmissions
• Pass (70th percentile) the Mechanical Aptitude Test
• Computer literate
• Ability to create and maintain a safe work environment for self and crew
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s License
• Supply own tools 1” and down
