Overview

Oversee and ensure adherence to safety protocols for the operations environment. Conduct safety training, inspections, and audits to mitigate risks. Collaborate with department leadership to develop safety plans and address hazards, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of all corporate safety initiatives and programs
  • Develop, refine, and administer department specific training with a focus on safety.
  • Track and report on employee training, JSA’s, SOP’s, Intelex, ELC’s and other departmental safety requirements.
  • Develop auditing methods to ensure compliance and eliminate drift.
  • Participate in incident investigation related to incidents that occur within the department.
  • Coordinate with department leadership to track and maintain TCOS initiatives.
  • Coordinate 3rd party training for specific jobs/tasks related to the department.

Qualifications

Required

  • Understanding of “Take Control of Safety” initiatives & general safety knowledge
  • Training and educational experience
  • Communication skills
  • Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Incident investigation skills
  • Organization, structure, prioritization, attention to detail
  • Problem solving
  • Adaptability
  •  

Preferred

  • College degree in related field
  • Relevant professional certification(s) – Certified Safety Professional
  • Process, departmental understanding
  • Previous safety training experience
  •
