Overview

Provides automation, electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and continuous process lines operations

Responsibilities

• Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems.
• Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements.
• Acts as a resource for quality-related items (coil research, production and engineering logs, sales questions).
• Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc.
• Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process.
• Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects.
• Act as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment.
• Responsible for backups and disaster recovery for drives and Level 1 systems.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the design, programming and commissioning of control systems for industrial applications.
• Strong project management skills
• LOTOTO experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Good understanding of closed loop control systems
• Two to 5 years of experience in the metals or related industry preferred (continuous process line experience is a plus)
• Moderate AutoCAD proficiency
• Automation and Commissioning experience preferred
• Proficient in automation, AC drives, process controls
